Cookie policy

What cookies this site uses, what each one actually does, and how to turn them off if you'd rather.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between pages and visits — whether you've dismissed a banner, how you arrived, which pages you looked at. Similar technologies like pixels, tags and local storage do comparable jobs, and everything below applies to those too.

Categories used on this site

Strictly necessary

These make the site function. They handle security, load balancing and remembering your cookie preferences. They can't be switched off, because without them the site doesn't work properly. No consent is required for these.

Analytics

These show how the site is used — which pages people read, how they got here, where they leave. The data is aggregated and used to make the site more useful. Google Analytics is the main tool here. These only run if you consent.

Advertising and remarketing

Set by platforms such as Meta and Google, these make it possible to measure whether an ad led to an enquiry, and to show relevant ads to people who've visited before. These only run if you consent.

Functional

These remember preferences to improve your experience — for example, a scheduling tool remembering your timezone. These only run if you consent.

Third parties that may set cookies

  • Google Analytics — site usage measurement
  • Google Ads — conversion measurement and remarketing
  • Meta — conversion measurement and remarketing for Facebook and Instagram
  • Scheduling tools — where a booking widget is embedded
  • Hosting and security providers — performance and protection

Each of these has its own privacy and cookie policy, and their handling of data is governed by those documents rather than this one.

Managing cookies

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the consent banner shown on your first visit, and change that choice at any time by clearing your cookies and reloading the site.

Your browser also gives you control. Every major browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them, block third-party cookies, or block them entirely. Look under Settings, then Privacy. Be aware that blocking all cookies will break parts of many websites, not just this one.

To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, Google offers a browser add-on for that purpose.

Do Not Track

There is still no common industry standard for handling Do Not Track browser signals, so this site does not currently respond to them. The consent banner is the reliable way to control what runs.

Changes

This policy is updated when the tools on the site change. The date at the top reflects the current version.
